Architectural CAD, from the floor plan out.
A drawing app for buildings where the 2D floor plan is the real surface and the 3D view exists to check yourself — not to sell the software in a screenshot.
Where it stands
In progress, with the drawing rules committed as a runnable test suite rather than described in a document.
What it does
| Plan first | Walls, rooms and dimensions are drawn and edited in 2D, where the work actually happens. The 3D preview updates alongside it. |
| 3D to verify | A second view for catching what a plan hides — a ceiling that doesn't meet, a stair that doesn't land. Deliberately not the main event. |
| DXF | Exchange in DXF, the format that is actually documented, rather than reverse-engineering DWG. |
| Open | MIT licensed. |
Why it exists
Consumer home-design tools push you into a 3D view immediately, which looks impressive and makes precise plan work awkward. Professional CAD does the opposite and costs accordingly. This sits where the drawing gets done.
